  • Yes. The California Access to Justice Commission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

  • We offer several ways to give, depending on what works best for you. You can make a donation online through the widget above or our Give Lively page, contribute through a donor-advised fund, or send a paper check. We can also issue an invoice through Bill.com or coordinate a direct bank transfer. If you’d like help with any of these options, feel free to reach out to us at info@calatj.org.

  • Unless you specify otherwise, your gift will go into our general fund, which allows us to direct support where it’s needed most. This flexible funding helps us sustain and grow our programs, respond to emerging needs, and advance access to civil justice across California. If you’d like your donation to support a specific initiative, you’re welcome to indicate that when you give or reach out to us directly.

  • We welcome donor-advised fund grants from any sponsor. Fidelity Charitable and Vanguard Charitable may remit grants to us electronically. All other donor-advised fund sponsors may mail grant payments by check to our P.O. Box. Please use our legal name (California Access to Justice Commission) and EIN 84-3344697 when submitting your grant recommendation. If you need any information to complete your gift, feel free to reach out.

  • Yes. If you’d prefer to avoid transaction fees, we’re happy to help coordinate a direct donation to our bank. Please contact us at info@calatj.org and we’ll work with you to arrange it.

  • Yes. You’ll receive an email confirmation and receipt for your records immediately after your donation is processed.
