Seven Civil Legal Aid Organizations Awarded Over $630K In Grant Funds To Address The Pending Eviction Tsunami

Thanks to the generous support of the California Endowment, the California Access to Justice Commission was able to provide funding to address the impending housing crisis and strengthen the legal aid community’s capacity to represent and assist low-income BIPOC families and individuals in jeopardy of losing their housing because of back-rent due to COVID-19 .

The California Endowment and the California Access to Justice Commission are grateful to all who applied and for the work they are doing to address the eviction tsunami. While we wish funds were available to support all applicants, we are grateful to be partnering with seven organizations through these grant funds: 

Centro Legal de la Raza, Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto, Legal Services of Northern California, Open Door Legal, Partnership for the Advancement of New America, Public Law Center, and Thai Community Development Center.
