Legal Aid Infrastructure & Innovation 2025-2026 Report
In 2025, for the fifth consecutive year, the State of California authorized the Judicial Council to fund $5 million (including $125,000 for administration) for the California Access to Justice Commission (CalATJ) to select and award Infrastructure and Innovation (I&I) grants. Eligible organizations were nonprofits who provide civil legal aid to persons at or below 200% of the federal poverty threshold. The grantees are 32 IOLTA-funded and 18 non-IOLTA-funded organizations.
