About this report
Prepared at the request of the State Bar of California, this report recommends ways to increase media coverage that shows how civil legal aid supports fairness in, and respect for, California's justice system. It also recommends ways to reduce the “knowledge gap,” when people facing serious problems don't seek help because they don't realize the problems are legal.
Key recommendations include California Voices for Civil Justice, a statewide media and public education project with the national nonprofit Voices for Civil Justice, and a State Bar working group on closing the knowledge gap.
